Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Hoffmann from the Greifswald University Hospital was elected as the new chairman of the DNVF at the beginning of October. He will thus head the ten-member board of the German Network for Health Services Research (DNVF) for the next two years. Hoffmann has been a board member for ten years, recently serving as vice chairman.

Central topics of the next board period from 2022 to 2024 are: to use care-related data for healthcare decisions, expand registries and link them with other data sources, and develop methods for evaluating regional care concepts. Another goal is to strengthen international networking through a dedicated English-language journal.

Currently, 52 medical, nursing and health science societies, 46 scientific institutes and research associations, 22 associations and 301 scientists are members of the DNVF. The network is concerned with safeguarding the health and patient care from a scientific, practical or health policy point of view.
