Promotion of Young Scientists - The Young DZHK
The DZHK supports young scientists on their way to a career in translational research. To this end, the DZHK has established the Young DZHK, an association of young scientists from all partner institutions.
Within the Young DZHK, young researchers can take advantage of various funding opportunities. These include laboratory exchanges and travel grants, but also the promotion of their own research work, for example through the Postdoc start-up grant or the Clinician Scientist Programme.
The Young DZHK plays an active role in shaping the future of the DZHK, as representatives of the PostDoc Committee have a say in important committees of the DZHK.
Once a year, the members of the Young DZHK meet for the Young DZHK Retreat, a scientific event that they organize themselves and which takes place in the run-up to the DZHK Retreat. Further network meetings as well as workshops and lectures will take place at the partner sites.
