Cooperations

Die Deutsche Herzstiftung (German Heart Foundation)

The German Heart Foundation offers patients information on all questions around cardiovascular diseases. An online consultation as well as a doctors and self-help groups search are part of the services offered by the patient organisation.

DZHK scientists regularly participate in the annual Heart Weeks in November by giving lectures and submitting dossiers. The DZHK publishes periodical articles in the patient magazine "Herz heute".

A large number of the DZHK scientists are honorary members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Heart Foundation and are available to answer patients' questions with expert advice.

German Cardiac Society

The DZHK has worked closely with the German Cardiac Society (DGK), Europe's largest cardiological society.  Since 2013, the DZHK and the DGK have been jointly carrying out the "Basics of Cardiovascular Research" programme for young scientists. Three workshops are organised each year as part of the programme. If the young scientists participate in at least seven of a total of 14 workshops, they receive a further training certificate.
