17 DZHK researchers are among the most cited scientists worldwide

Among the most influential researchers worldwide are 17 scientists from the DZHK: Their work has been cited particularly often by specialist colleagues. They were thus included in the list of “Highly Cited Researchers 2021”.

6,602 people from more than 70 countries made it onto the list, including 331 researchers from Germany. They belong to the one percent of the most frequently cited scientists in their field and are therefore considered to be particularly important in the research community.

Only publications in specialist journals that are included in the Web of Science ™ citation database with currently more than 21,000 international journals from the Web of Science Core Collection are included in the list. The list of “Highly Cited Researchers” has been published every year since 2001 by the US company Clarivate.
