Univ-Prof. Dr Wolfgang Kuebler (Charité Berlin) receives the "Julius H. Comroe, Jr., Distinguished Lectureship 2024", one of the most important awards in the field of physiology, at the American Physiology Summit.

Prof Dr Tim Friede (University Medical Center Göttingen) receives the Susanne Dahms Medal for outstanding services to the International Biometric Society and its German Region (IBS-DR).

Dr med Rainer Kaiser (LMU clinic Munich) receives the Young Talent Award for Thrombosis Research/Vascular Medicine from the Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research e.V. (GTH).

Prof Vasilis Ntziachristos, MSc PhD (Helmholtz Munich) has been elected as a new member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.

Prof Dr Marcel H. Schulz (Goethe University Frankfurt) takes up a professorship for Artificial Intelligence in Genome Research at the Goethe University.

PD Dr Marie Schafstedde (Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité (DHZC), Berlin) has been awarded the DGPK's "Gerd Killian" grant. The total endowment amounts to 60,000 euros.

Alexander Breitenstein (Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité, Berlin), development engineer in the "GrOwnValve" team led by DHZC paediatric cardiologist PD Dr Boris Schmitt, receives the Young Investigator Award of the DGPK.

PD Dr Constanze Pfitzer (Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité (DHZC), Berlin) is awarded the Science Prize 2024 of the German Society for Paediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Defects (DGPK).

Dr Kun Lu (Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich) receives the DGTHG's Cardiac Medicine Award.

Dr Monhanta Sarajo (Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich) has been awarded the €10,000 Research Prize for Cardiovascular Medicine by the Ulrich Karsten Foundation and the DGTHG.
