Research focus
Jens Fielitz is a DZHK professor for molecular cardiology and muscular proteostasis at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University Greifswald. One focus of his studies is the function of the ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) and its role in different cardiac diseases.
With his translational research group, he focuses on disease mechanisms, which might eventually be useful to develop novel treatment strategies. In particular, he is studying mechanisms of pathological cardiac remodeling and inflammation-dependent skeletal muscle failure.
