For this purpose several cardiovascular microRNAs have been identified and functionally characterized with regard to their capacity to regulate key cellular signaling pathways. A subset of these miRNAs are being validated in mouse models of disease and approaches for their therapeutic manipulation are being developed. This involves studies that aim to optimize the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of miRNA inhibitor molecules. ↑ |
